- Artist Andrew Lakey has provided the CVA Gallery Shop with a limited, signed edition of the deluxe DVD “Silhouettes & Shadows.” This experimental 11-minute documentary film is a fly-through journey over the meticulous, heavy media surfaces of Lakey's paintings. These remarkable new paintings begins with the simple outline of a person’s body part – particularly hands, feet and heads that becomes the center of an explosion of color and design – a visual language that appears to be tapped into the inner mind or the outer reaches of space, and an exciting evolution of the artist’s work.
